Alas, the date is upon us! Long Live the King! (The new codec)

So I have put together something special for you! In memory of the late 1801 Sectors, I have updated these sectors to make it look like the old ones. Well in regards to the CTR & APP airspace looking like the old 1801, not like the squished one since changing to GNG. Oh also the sectors are ready for AFV the plugin is included, and all you need to do is download the standalone client!

Only major update in this AIRAC is the change of the CTR Frequency for Hong Kong Radar South 1 Sector.

ESTABLISHMENT OF TERMINAL TRANSITION ROUTE (TTR) V524 IN THE HONG KONG FIR

To enhance traffic management flexibility and handling capacity for arriving traffic into Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) during arrival peak periods or adverse weather situation, a new waypoint AKEKU and new TTR V524 will be established in the Hong Kong FIR.

With effect from 0000 UTC on 20 June 2019, a new waypoint AKEKU and TTR V524 will be established to the east
of HKIA.

AKEKU 21 34 18.33N 117 03 09.60E

When necessary, arriving traffic via ELATO will be directed by ATC to join TTR V524 and BETTY STAR accordingly.

TTR V524 is for tactical use only and shall not be used for flight planning.

The only update during AIRAC 1906 is the full implementation of the eAIP of Hong Kong which can be accessed here: https://www.ais.gov.hk/eaip_20190523/2019-05-23-000000/html/index-en-US.html

No need to update your sectors this update if you don't want to. If your sectors are pre 1904 I suggest you do update due to an error with the plugins causing aircraft on the ground not to show.

Decommissioning of the LC NDB
With sufficient backup and redundant navigation means, “LC” NDB (Station Name: Lam Chau) is considered to be obsolete and will be decommissioned accordingly.


With effect from 0000 UTC on 25 April 2019, “LC” NDB will be decommissioned.
Consequent upon the decommissioning, the following instrument approach procedure (IAP)
charts will be revised.
i. ILS RWY 07R
ii. ILS RWY 25L

It is also noted that next AIRAC cycle a new Airway will come into use! Some details about this are below.

The electronic Aeronautical Information Publication (eAIP) Hong Kong will be launched on 28 Mar 2019. The publication of AIP amendment will resume on the same date and the first issue of eAIP will be published as AIP Amendment No. 2/19 with an effective date of 23 May 2019.

The Hong Kong International Airport has commissioned passenger apron enhancement including the construction of a connector between Passenger Terminal Building and North Satellite Concourse. To prepare for the establishment of a logical and sequential naming, renumbering of some parking stands is required and will be conducted in two phases.

With effect from 0000 UTC on 28 March 2019, Parking Stands E15, E16, E16R, E17, E17R, E18, E19, N20, N22, N22R and S21 will be operated under new numbering (Phase 1).

Upon completion of the connector between Passenger Terminal Building and North Satellite Concourse in mid 2020, Parking Stands N501-N510 will also be renumbered (Phase 2).
