REVISED DEPARTURE SPEED RESTRICTION
1. Introduction
1.1 This AIP Supplement promulgates a revised departure speed restriction applicable to all
Standard Instrument Departure (SID) routes from Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA).
1.2 The departure speed restriction is adjusted with an aim of achieving more consistent
departure spacing and maximizing runway capacity.
2. Details

2.1 With effect from 0000 UTC on 26 April 2018, the departure speed restriction for the first
turn points for all SID routes, i.e. PORPA, ROVER and PRAWN from HKIA will be revised
to 205 kts or greater.
2.2 Pilots shall report to ATC prior to departure when the aircraft is unable to comply with the
published speed restriction for safety consideration.
2.3 All SID charts and the associated navigation database coding tables will be amended
accordingly.
2.4 The revised SID Charts are given in the Attachment.

3. Cancellation
3.1 This AIP Supplement will be cancelled when the information is incorporated into AIP Hong
Kong.

The mid-field area of Hong Kong International Airport is being developed to provide
new taxiways, taxilanes and additional parking areas for both passenger and cargo
aircraft.

1.2 New parking stands (D307, D308, D309 and D310) situated west of Taxiway T and
the southern portion of Taxiway S connecting to Taxiway H will commence
operations with effect from 0000 UTC on 29 Mar 2018. (see Attachment)

2. Details of the Parking Stands

2.1 The 4 stands D307, D308, D309 and D310 to be commissioned for towing operations
initially are equipped with high mast lighting, airport lightning warning system and
apron emergency phones.

2.2 The INS co-ordinates of the parking stands and aircraft parking restriction are listed
below:

3. Details of the Taxiway and Taxi lane

3.1 The southern portion of Taxiway S connecting to Taxiway H will be provided to allow
aircraft towing of size up to Code F.

3.2 A NEW connection between Taxiway S and Taxiway T named Taxilane S2 will be
provided to allow aircraft towing of size up to Code F.

3.3 Taxiway and Taxi lane PCN are PCN72/F/B/W/T.

AeroNav GNG has now allowed us to release monthly AIRAC updates on our sector files. Now without having to cross reference with many charts and using a lot of man power just to update something. We hope you enjoy these sector files, as well as making you feel as immersed into the VATSIM ATC environment as possible.
